If you’re Italian and you’ve been in Naples you have eaten what it’s believed to be the best pizza in town by da Michele. If you’re a foreigner roaming in the city of Totò, Eduardo De Filippo and Sophia Loren and you’ve been seeking the ultimate Neapolitan pizza experience you’ve stumbled on da Michele.
And if you’ve never been in Naples?
First of all, follow Goethe’s advise and put the trip on your bucket list of things to absolutely do before you die. For your last dinner of course do not forget that, since 1870, da Michele is the pantheon of Neapolitan pizza and a must for all pizza victims!
However, if you’re barcelonés/esa, an expat or a tourist visiting the Catalan capital you may have an ace in the hole. (No way!) Starting from December, da Michele is going to have an address also in Barcelona and exactly in Consell de Cent street, 336 between Pau Claris and Roger de Llúria. Will the Catalan da Michele become the new moral imperative? Apparently Julia Roberts already made it hers in the scene of her stay in Naples featured in the movie Eat Pray Love.
