Fashion Week soon moves south from London to the northern hemisphere, arriving in Milan. With some of the most prestigious brands in fashion on its schedule as well as a festival spectacle of shows, events and presentations, Milan Fashion Week always manages to create a remarkable atmosphere for the VIP’s, models, tourists and inhabitants in the city. From Wednesday the 21st of February to Monday the 26th of February, Milan Women's Fashion Week takes over, transforming into the cultural catwalk of the world for which it is known.
With 161 appointments on this season’s schedule, the focus revolves around Italy’s development in fashion based on "Creativity, innovation, quality, and sustainability’’ according to Carlo Capasa, the President of the National Chamber for Italian Fashion. Not only is the anticipation high for the shows of reputable brands like Prada, Gucci, Versace and Jil Sander, but also for new creative directions with debuts at Tod’s, Moschino and Blumarine.
