The charm of CPHFW beyond the runway
Copenhagen Fashion Week (CPHFW) shows us that fashion, in addition to being art, can be functional, sustainable, and minimalist, with details in accessories that make it the perfect source of inspiration—without ever feeling like you're overdressed. It's held twice a year, and in my opinion, CPHFW is one of the most attention-grabbing events in fashion. I’ve discovered that I feel more inspired and motivated by the smaller shows than by the bigger, more established ones like in Paris, without diminishing their importance in the fashion world.

The Danish style: The runway is outside
I started my adventure on Monday with rain, but I was looking forward to some fresh Danish-inspired air. It wouldn’t be until Wednesday that I would attend my first event. However, I took the opportunity to tour the Vesterbro and Indre By areas of town, where I saw many inspiring looks. With the thermometer reading 0º, one thing I noticed a lot was the use of head coverings like bonnets. Another essential piece was fur coats, either in solid colors or with prints. What makes Danish women such 'It' girls is their use of pops of color and printed pieces that elevate their looks.
66°North: 99 Years Redefining Outdoor Fashion
On Wednesday, the sun came out, and I got ready early to grab matcha at Darcy’s Kaffe before taking the metro to Rådhuspladsen, where the 66ºNorth exhibition titled ‘867,815,464 Hours’ was held. This Icelandic brand, as its CEO Helgi Óskarsson told me, originally designed clothing to protect fishermen from extreme weather conditions. However, in recent years, they’ve expanded beyond functional outerwear. For example, in Autumn/Winter 2023, they collaborated with Ganni, opening their way to a more fashion-conscious audience. Today, you can see their pieces in everyday looks on the streets of Copenhagen.
Kamo: A new lifestyle for Autumn-Winter fashion
A sunglasses brand founded in 2018, focused on timeless design and craftsmanship, revealed its first ready-to-wear collection for Autumn/Winter 2025. The perfect setting was its flagship store, where I was able to appreciate the stylish unisex garments, the urban vibe, and everything that embodies the brand’s atmosphere—like sage sticks, incense, and handmade ceramics. Kamo combines impeccable tailoring, Japanese denim, and a retro feel. It’s a proposal that balances nostalgia and modernity, using high-quality materials and a sustainable vision.
Han Kjøbenhavn: My first runway show
I headed to an area far from the city center, Amager Øst, where I saw industrial spaces, a perfect fit for the Han Kjøbenhavn show. The looks I saw while waiting to get in seemed like they were straight out of the line at Berghain. Inside the venue, dim lights, a kind of fog, and techno music enveloped the space, creating a somber, avant-garde atmosphere. 'Concrete Born' showcased architectural silhouettes and garments with exaggerated shoulders in neutral tones, moving to the rhythm of the music as a statement of power. It was a show where aesthetics weren’t just seen but felt.
